Self Healing – Powerful Techniques

Last weekend a friend handed me a book to read, and as I started it….I wondered why it hadn’t crossed my radar sooner! On the cover it states: “Within minutes these techniques trigger health-producing effects for: Cancer Prevention & Reversal, High Blood Pressure, High Cholesterol, Insomnia, Alzheimers, Diabetes, Anxiety, Depression, PMS, Stress Reduction, Jetlag”

Now, who on the planet doesn’t fall into at least one of these categories!

So what’s the book?  Self-Healing: Powerful Techniques by Ranjie N. Singh, Ph.D.

I haven’t made it all the way through the book yet – but it’s great to see medical research on the mind-body connection as well as how important breathing is for the health of our body systems. For me personally, falling asleep at night is an issue. My brain always seems to be on overdrive and shutting down is a challenge. Since I’ve started doing the easy exercises in this book, I’m falling asleep noticibly quicker. In fact there are 3 recommended breathing exercises and as of yet – I’m asleep before I’ve finished the first one!If you’re looking for ways to improve your own health and strengthen the mind-body connection – I’d recommend this book. If you’re in a health/healing profession and are looking for resources to share with your clients – I’d recommend this book. With information like this available, that only takes a few minutes a day to do – it should be easy to obtain & maintain good health! The link Karen mentions is no longer active. Indeed, all references to Dr. Singh's technique have been pulled from the Internet--at least all references that actually describe anything about the techniques. I think he is planning to charge for these techniques as I've seen some of his class prices posted. His book is out of print, but you can still buy used copies of it. I just bought one on Amazon. Maybe I'll come back here and post one of the techniques, so people can try it out for themselves.

You can see more at He also has a audio recording that accompanies the book, with soothing music, that walks you thru the breating techniques. The audio can be heard on his website.


I am definitely going to check out that book. Sounds interesting! Also I usually listen to music to calm me before I go to sleep. That might help you. There is a CD coming out next week by Kosmic Music called Sacred Blessings with interfaith songs handpicked by inspirational speaker Anthony Robbins. I heard a sneak peak of it, and I love it! Just thought you would like to check it out.
