New Students • Beginners

Initial Consultation

Get your mind, body, and M.O.V.E.ment program off to a great start with our new client Initial Consultation.  During this 90 min. 1‐on‐1 private consultation, we will review your health history, discuss your wellness goals and objectives, and get started with basic Healthy M.O.V.E.ment concepts and pre‐Pilates exercises for posture, breathing, and body alignment.  By getting to know you during this session, our trained and experienced Pilates experts will be able to start developing a personalized Pilates program for you to continue with private training and/or help guide you into the best BODHI BODY classes, programs, and services to achieve your desired results for better whole-body health.

Beginner group training Pilates classes

BODHI BODY – Beginner Pilates Class (8-week session)

Beginner Pilates Class.  Like the camaraderie of a group atmosphere?  Then grab a friend and get registered for the BODHI BODY Beginner Pilates Class.  This 8-week session is designed for participants who are in good physical health with little to no Pilates experience.  We’ll start with basic concepts for breathing, posture, and body alignment, and build a strong foundation to help you increase strength and flexibility, reduce stress, and develop healthy movement habits to look good and feel great!  Explore basic concepts, learn about Functional Fundamentals™, and experience beginner Pilates exercises on the Mat, Reformer, Tower, and more… Have FUN and discover why BODHI BODY is the best place to develop your whole-body health.

  • Group Class Size MAX–6 participants
  • 8-week program—2x week, 16 classes.
  • Beginner Pilates Class Fees: $560 paid in Full. Payment Plan – two payments of $288.

Most group training classes are limited to only 4-6 participants to ensure you get the personalized attention your body deserves.

Private Training Sessions with Aliesa George, PMA-CPT

Private training is recommended for ALL students, but may be required if you have any medical issues, health concerns, or are recovering from an injury or accident. One on one training is an efficient, effective way to customize your workouts and get the personalized attention you need to reach your wellness goals.

One-On-One / Private Training

Private, one-on-one training sessions are the best gift you can give to your body. Work on specific goals you have for health improvement, and let your well-trained Pilates teacher help guide you step-by-step through the process of safe and appropriate exercises working the Pilates system. Your Private training sessions may include Functional Fundamental exercises, Pilates Matwork, Reformer, Cadillac/Tower, Chairs & Barrels, as well as working on bridging the gap between your “fitness” program, and daily life and/or sport activities to help fine-tune your technique, enhance body awareness, and help keep you safe and injury-free.

(Fascia Stretching may be incorporated into your sessions, or supplemental 30-minute private sessions can be specifically requested for Fascia Stretching. Check with Aliesa to see if this method of fascia release and connective tissue stretching is safe and appropriate for your body.)

Fascia Stretching Sessions

Rossiter Stretching - Calf ExerciseYour body was made to move, stretch, be active, healthy, and pain-free! With just a few Fascia stretching techniques, you can begin to immediately restore the “space” for freedom, looseness, and flexibility for your connective tissue – working towards restoring your tissues to a natural, healthy length.

Fascia Stretching Workouts are designed to target specific areas of the body by recognizing that PAIN is information. Having a pain-free, fit, flexible, and mobile body depends on having enough INTERNAL space to function properly. The body’s system of “space” is the connective tissue or fascia. Why is healthy connective tissue important? It connects everything in your body, for form and function. To function well, healthy connective tissue is loose, providing “space” on the inside to benefit the body’s natural ability to communicate with itself for circulation of blood, nerve conduction, and ease of movement.

Stress, immobility, and pain occur when connective tissue gets tight, shortened, thickened, or hard. This can be a result of injury, over-use, non-use, and age. Let’s just say that life involves using our bodies, and we’re not always kind, pay much attention, or listen to what our bodies really need.

Fascia Stretching sessions are a phenomenal compliment to your Pilates training, (and can benefit you even if you don’t do Pilates.)  You will begin to quickly notice shifts and assess improvements during your very first  session! If you are dealing with aches and pain Fascia Stretching sessions can make a world of difference. And if you’re lucky enough to be living in a pain-free body, consider using Fascia Stretching sessions as proactive care to maintain healthy movement and keep you fit, flexible, pain, and injury-free.

Duets & Trios

Pilates group trainingDuets Training (2 people)

Want to work out with your best friend, spouse, or other favorite friend? Then Duet Training at Bodhi Body is for you! It is most ideal that your training partner be at a similar level of experience with no serious injuries or health issues, in order to best meet the needs of both of you during your workouts.

Trio Training (3 people)

Triad Training is a cost-effective way to share your training time, with friends, family, or other BODHI BODY pals. Trios can be scheduled for groups of 3 who are of similar body knowledge and experience.

 

 

Group Class / Group Training (four or more)

At BODHI BODY our group class programs are leveled to insure that you are in a group that is working at a safe and appropriate pace for your level of Pilates skill and experience. Group class means that there are four or more participants (If there are less than four participants pre-registered for a monthly class, remaining participants will have the option to keep the class time as a duet or trio.) All group class participation is by instructor approval only. See current group class schedule for class times.

Group Pilates classesPlease note: Unless otherwise specified on the schedule, group classes will not be designated “Reformer” or “Tower” and only use one specific piece of Pilates equipment, but will be combination classes that may include, Pilates Matwork, Reformer, Tower/Cadillac, Chairs, Barrels, and other equipment in the studio. To add variety to your workouts there will be classes where we “work the system,” target a specific goal or theme, mix things up with a circuit style workout, or add a little cardio into class with jumping on the Reformer, Jacobs Ladder or other aerobic activities.

Intermediate and advanced students may opt to participate in basic, or beginner-intermediate classes for review and fine-tuning, because regardless of your “level” you can always learn something new, and ultimately the most basic of Pilates exercises will always be challenging!
